Transformation Story of An Airforce Veteran

In July 2021, we met a veteran known as A1C Thomas. He was addicted, spiritually bound, in-between jobs, forced out of his home, and financially burdened. God orchestrated a time and place where our paths had crossed. At the time our non-profit was just getting started and we did not have much funding, but we had the faith that God would provide what was needed to assist him. Immediately we started giving him spiritual guidance with discipleship to help him through his mental state. At the time, due to his unhealthy living situation, he was struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts, causing him to turn to alcohol and recreational drugs to self-medicate. We sought help from a Pastor at a local church to pray for deliverance, healing, and freedom from his addictions and depression. Through prayer and petition, Jesus Christ healed him. This started the mending process in his mind and heart.

Shortly after, he was forced out of his home causing him to be homeless. At first, our local church provided him a hotel room for a few nights. Once this stay ended, we extended his stay until we could find a better option. God provided a better living option through a company that offers lodging. When we ran out of funding for his stay, we prayed for God to provide through sharing A1C Thomas’ story on social media. God’s timing was perfect here because many people came forward offering monetary donations and a couple opened their home for him to stay a few nights. We continued to pray for God to help find a permanent solution for housing and income. God delivered!

God led us to a local non-profit that provides assistance and housing to veterans. After a few weeks, they were able to find him a home temporarily. God used both this local non-profit and For The Kingdom Global Ministries, to provide food, transportation, clothing, and other necessities. Soon after, he was offered a job and is still working there. Currently, we are still searching for a permanent living situation, but are faithful God will continue to provide.

We are very grateful for God’s provision using people to give and offer solutions to help A1C Thomas. Thank you to those who have helped and prayed for A1C Thomas, we will continue to support him for as long as he needs.
